Brownsville, Texas: The Porter golf team concluded play at the BISD Fall Invitational that spanned two rounds of play from Oct. 20-21.

The Highlights

The Cowgirls team finished in 8th place after two rounds of play with a combined score of 895.

Yessenia Medellin was the lead scorer for the Cowgirls, she took 1st place with a combined score of 168 through the two rounds.

Eva Hernandez finished 24th as an individual with round scores of 107 and 106.

On the boy's side, Mario Hernandez led the Cowboys with a 5th-place finish. He had a two-day total of 153. This was his first top 5 finish in his career.

Joshua Ramirez had a PR for the two days with scores of 101 and 93.

The Porter golf teams return to action in Harlingen, Texas, competing in the Harlingen ISD Invitational on Nov.10-11.
